What I Learned This Week

This week, I have learned lots of hard but good lessons as well as being reminded of some other great things.

Hard Lesson #1: God works in mysterious ways. Even though we may question WHY the Lord does certain things. He does have a plan for us and we need to trust in His plan!

Hard Lesson #2: Your body will heal itself, but maybe not on your schedule! As the saying goes...time will heal. I just wish the time had gone a lot faster...but alas, I am healing!

Hard Lesson #3: I can't blame myself for what happened. I am still working on this....my head knows that, but my heart still feels guilty!

------------

Great Reminder #1: My family was there for me no matter what. My mom and dad came flying down from Hereford the moment I broke the sad news. My mom said that she only wishes she could go through the pain and sadness for me.

Great Reminder #2: We are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends. I was completely overwhelmed with the cards, gifts, calls, emails, and comments. God Bless all of you.

Great Reminder #3: The innocence and laughter of a child can bring a smile and brightness to any day or situation. Having my two wonderful children to come home to, hug, make me laugh and smile was some of the best medicine I could ask for.

God sure does work in mysterious ways; I love how His plans unfold (even if we don't "get it" along the way! Great lessons learned!

I think that is one of the hardest things to grasp - God's plan - in His timing, not ours - and how it always works for the best;)

Sometimes gratitude is the best medicine. A friend of mine feels that you can't be sad when you are genuinely grateful. Those "great reminders" will heal.
