I got skillz!

As many of you know....I LOVE to take pictures! And I take a lot. In fact, many may think I have a bit of an obsession with it. I am getting better and better at using the different settings/lenses on my camera. Nonetheless, I am still learning. But I have been wanting to find a great way to edit them. Which leads to "What I learned this week".

Today, I discovered Picnik. It is an online photo editing service. You can edit for free or upgrade to a wider variety of services for $24.95/year.

I first heard about it from my bloggy friend, Jen@Our Daily Big Top. She recently had a giveaway for Picnik subscriptions. Unfortunately, I didn't win one of them. Then, last week, Leslee@Phillips101 also had a post showing some before and after photo editing shots. At that point, I decided to dive in.

Can I just say I am LOVING it! You may not see too many unedited photos from me from now on!

Another big reason I wanted to do this photo editing was to get a watermark for my photos. In today's society, I want to protect my images and those I love! So, you may notice that below, too. I am still trying to decide on the font I want to use! I should have that figured out in the next day or so. I am just trying to see which one looks the best with my blog design!

So, here is a before and after of a great shot I took of my niece last week when I got to babysit her!

Here is another before and after example of a pic you might have see on a previous post. I think the enhancement is awesome!

Last but not least, one of Max...this effect/frame option might be fun for vacation photos!

These are just a few examples of what I have learned on Picnik! And, I am just getting started.

So, what do ya think of my mad skillz?

Hooray - your pics look amazing. I think you should pick a font that looks similar to your blog header. What about FFMarket, FF Tartine Script or Brush Script? Just a thought. It's addicting to play with Picnik. My kids love the gooify effect.

love the pics...  yeah, you got skillz...  i love picnik.  i upgraded last year and bought the subscription, but this year I have let it run out, but still use it.  i have not edited in a long time and i just got addicted again...  it is so easy.  picnik is awesome.  i did not know you could do a watermark, i will have to check into that, did you have to upgrade to get that?

I love picnik!! I have been using it too--man, it takes up way too much of my time! I love what you have done with the photos. Actually, I have flickr--little confused how the 2 work together. I have a pro flickr acct--guess I have to pay for Picnic too-or at least the advanced feature. It is amazing what the click of a button will do to your photos.
What kind of camera do you have? I have the Canon Rebel and I am looking for a new lens, now!!
