My best and longest friend (we've been BFFs since we were 5) hosted a fall party this past Tuesday. She served two kinds of chili, I made the cornbread, then for dessert had pumpkin pound cake and a pumpkin crumble. The pumpkin crumble was a cross between a coffee cake and pumpkin pie! It was simply divine. I need to get the recipe. After we ate and the kids played some, she had apples for the kids to decorate in caramel and candy. They loved this. However, Cate chose to just eat the apple on the stick (sans caramel and candy), which was fine with me....less mess and of course, less sugar!

Chili sounds so good right now. Parties are always more fun when you have a friend to plan & play with. Good times!

Sounds like so much fun! Fall is my absolute favorite season and I can't think of anything better than a party to celebrate it...
