Based upon recent events, I have had to swallow my pride and accept help from others. It is not that I don't want the help, I just tend to feel the guilt of putting others out.
So, on the insistent urging of several of our friends and family, we have decided to let our friends provide dinners for us. To make the scheduling process easier, a very dear friend and neighbor suggested a handy website called, FoodTidings.com. It is a free site where you can set up a schedule of the days you want meals provided. It also gives you the opportunity to note any likes or dislikes, food allergies, drop off location and times, etc. I felt this was a great outlet to use as we have had offers from several different circles of friends and social groups. This way, there won't be any confusion or the chance of getting multiple meals on the same night.
If you have any friend or family member who has had a death in the family or a new mom who needs an extra hand with meals, or someone like me, who is practically on bedrest, this site is a great way to organize those meals!
For those of you who are local and would like to help out, here is the link to our schedule. Again, please do not feel obligated, I just know several people have inquired via email. At the very least, it can show you how the schedule looks and is accessed.
Not to be redundant, but we are so blessed to have such supportive friends and family.
