Last Thursday was Cate's Mother's Day program at her preschool. As always, the programs are very well thought out and executed. The children filed in to the audience of their moms, dads, and a few grandmothers. Unfortunately, Cate was not being her usual perky, showstopping self. Rather, she pouted the entire program. It was still quite adorable (I have to admit...even her little grumpy pout was cute).
They started off with a prayer for the Mommies. Then, they sang three songs. The first was "Jesus Loves Me", then "I'm a Little Teapot", and finally, "We Love Mommies". All of them had the cutest hand gestures that Cate had been practicing for weeks! Too bad she is the only one not participating, because I have a feeling if she had, she would have been the most animated!
After the songs, each child was asked to come stand by the teacher and show everyone their special card/booklet for their mom! They would recite a few things out of the card that the child said they loved most about their moms. When it was Cate's turn, she finally cracked a bit of a smile and said that "I love her, her family, and Dr. Pepper!" It is so funny to hear what they pick up on! All of the moms got a kick out of their presentations.

Once the program ended, we were asked to come back to the classroom to check them out for the day and see one more special gift they made us. It was a handprint picture of a flower. Despite my aches and pains from the pregnancy, nothing was going to keep me from being there for my daughter!

She is such a joy. I love these types of programs but sometimes the questions about mom they answer make me want to hide. I'm kind of afraid of what my kids will say - they do speak the truth. That is a great picture of you both.
Look how lovely you both are!
Glad you are doing better - hang in there and keep taking the help! I know it's not always fun taking help, but just remember how you love to help others when they need it...p.us, people wouldn't volunteer to help if they didn't care or want to. :-)
BTW - my iron was so low with #3 I had 2 iron-infusions....have they considered that yet? And also - there is actually LIQUID iron you can take (at natural food stores) that may help a little better than pills if you wanna try something else. Just a suggestion :-)
Those pictures are adorable - I love the one of you both... the face she's making is precious!
so cute! i have that same maternity dress. YOu guys are just so sweet together.
