Update

Just a quick update on how things are going.

I am on medication to stop the contractions after I had a pretty rough night and morning about a week ago. So, since then, I have been on complete bedrest and taking the meds twice daily. The contractions have lowered in intensity and frequency, but still happening.

My mom flew in again to help out. The kids have been great. Cate's last day of school was last week, so my mom went with Matt to her last day in my place. I was super bummed to miss it, but had to think of this baby and my health first and foremost. Matt got some great pictures, which I hope to post later. Max still has the rest of this week and next week of Kindergarten. His end of school program is next Monday, so again, Matt and my mom will have to take pictures for me.

We have started Cate's hard core potty training this week. She has been completely potty trained in the "poop" department for about 2 months now. I know, kinda backwards, but she still wouldn't tell us when she had to go "pee-pee". So, since my mom was here and she has been out of school this week, we decided to go full throttle and work on the "pee-pee" training this week. She has had 2 very successful days so far (with only one real accident) and today was her first time venturing out of the house in panties (to ballet) and she came home completely DRY! If all goes well the rest of the week, Matt plans to take her to Chuck E. Cheese on Friday. We just really needed to work on it because she has to be completely potty trained by ballet/tumble camp starting in about a month and I wanted her to have a solid couple of weeks under her belt. It has been great having my mom here to make those 50 trips a day to the potty with her. I could not have done this without her!

I go back to the doctor for a regularly scheduled visit on Tuesday. We are also doing a 3D sonogram, which I am super excited about. At that time, we will discuss how the meds are working and evaluate my activity (or lack there of) for the rest of the pregnancy.

We have been so blessed to have carpool rides for the kids to and from school so that my mom could stay with me. We have also had meals provided for us during the week from our wonderful friends locally, which has been a huge load off Matt's back! He has had more time each evening to spend with the kids and me.

As far as posting (and reading/commenting on your blogs), I do not own a laptop and the desk chair I own is not the most comfortable, so after about 5 minutes in it (as long as it has taken me to write this), I start to hurt in my back which then triggers the contractions. I actually thought about it today and am considering writing some posts and having Matt type them in for me...however, adding pictures may be a tad too much for him to figure out! LOL.

I will try to keep you posted as much as I can. Thanks again for all the comments and emails. Have a great week.
