Camp Mimi and Papa 2010

A couple of years ago, my parents started taking the kids for several days during the summer. They would either take them back to their house in West Texas (about 7 hours from here) or on a mini-trip.

This year was going to be my niece, Madison's, first time to go with them, so they decided to do something local. Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX was the perfect solution.

My parents got a room with a built in log cabin for the kids' sleeping area. They had a great view of the pool, and got a package that included lots of exclusive goodies for the kiddos. I mean, what more do you expect from grandparents, than for them to spoil them! They each got a set of new Crocs, a magic wand for the Magic Tour around the hotel, waterpark passes and lots more! The girls got pedicures at "Scoops" and Max got 60 tokens to play in the arcade!

They truly had a blast on this special trip. My parents were worn out, but said they wouldn't trade the experience for anything!

In fact, they had so much fun, Matt and I were a little jealous we didn't get to experience it ourselves. We have already decided to take them for a weekend this fall or winter with baby in tow. It is local so we wouldn't have to pay airfare or take off any school or work.

Her toes are adorable! Looks like a fun time was had by all! I've tagged you in a post that will "air" on Monday. Just giving you a head's up. You can play along if you want, but don't feel obligated. =)
