Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson is a classic. As a matter of fact, it was one of my brother's favorite books when he was younger. I remember my parents always reading this book to him.
So, it held even more meaning the other night, when we went to Fine Arts Night at Max's school. The artwork of his that was displayed was his interpretation of Harold and the Purple Crayon.

He is pretty darn talented if you ask me! And what a connection, my brother is Max's Godfather and he loves art, too! I guess it rubbed off onto Max! If we don't find Max playing with Legos and Star Wars, he is drawing at his desk! So, thanks, Harold, for being a favorite of my brother's and inspiring Max's artwork!

We love Harold too! What a great art activity. He looks so handsome.
Be sure David sees this- he would be so excited and Max would be proud to show off his artwork-- My favorite boys still love art- either producing it or appreciating it! Also love the new birthday counters for Max and Cate on your site.
Oh, how sweet! Love it!
Now that is just plain awesome! Go Max!!
Max's talent if awesome!
I love his interpretation!
