Last weekend was Cate's birthday party at Build-A-Bear Workshop! I wanted to do something outside the home (after hosting 22 of Max's friends for a Polar Express party), so I thought this would be perfect. We invited all of her classmates from preschool and several other little friends and her cousin. We had a great crowd of giggling excited little 3 year olds (and a few older)!
First, she greeted her friends and they had a circle time to tell the kids what was going to happen.
Then, they chose which color bear they wanted. After they chose their bear, they named them and headed across the store to the "stuffing machine"!
Before they stuffed their bears, each child chose a heart to make a birthday wish for Cate and put in her bear. Then, they each chose another heart for their own bears.
After stuffing each bear, they got a chance to "bathe" their bears (aka blowing high-speed air over the bear to release any stray fuzz or stings).
At the end of the party, we took a group photo and then they announced Cate's birthday to everyone in the store and sang the Birthday Song to her!
The store doesn't actually have a party room, so we headed to the food court and snagged a bunch of tables together to have cake! Once again, my best friend, Hayley, outdid herself with a fabulous cake! If you live in the Dallas area and ever need a cake, I have the gal for you.
The kids had a great time. Several of her friends went back to the store (as did we) to choose some fun clothes and accessories for their bears. So, meet CASSIE!
