Things I Learned This Week!

So, I decided to join this bloggy carnival hosted by Jo-Lynne over at Musings of A Housewife. She is also the designer of my blog. So, here are a few things I learned this week...

1. I am truly addicted to my email, blog, blog reading, Twitter, and Facebook! I think I already knew this, but after our router blew on Saturday afternoon and I didn't get a replacement until about 20 minutes ago, I had pure withdrawal!

2. Family fun days with just the four of us are pure pleasure! We haven't done one in a very long time and we went to the zoo this weekend with the kids (more on that to come). We made a pact to try to do something fun as often as we can, maybe even soon giving the kids a chance to pick the destination!

3. North Texans PANIC at the thought of freezing rain/drizzle! I am not kidding you...the mere thought of the temperatures dropping below 32 degrees, and schools have delayed opening/early release or they FLAT. OUT. CLOSE! I remember growing up in the panhandle of Texas, where, yes, it does snow...often, and they wouldn't cancel school until there were inches, maybe even feet of snow! In our days in NJ, forget about it, it had to be pure blizzard outside! I am just laughing at the constant SEVERE WEATHER ALERTS that keep breaking into daytime TV! Ridiculous!

So, there you have it....not real insightful, but this week it is all I have. For more "Things I learned this week" click on the button at the top of this post!

I'm with you. I walk away to check email then I'm knee deep in blogs, facebook. I don't twitter though. I think I'd like to live in Texas...I dread driving in the any amount of snow, forget about ice. My heart starts pounding...my husband laughs at me.

I'm addicted to blogging etc too!! There are worse things... like cookie dough... awe man, I'm addicted to that also (in fact I'm eating some right now).
Too funny about the weather. I'm on Southern California and when it rains you would thing that there was 4 feet of snow with all the fuss about it!!
Awesome about the family day.

I'll have to join this meme! I was working on a post titled that last week and thought, "This would make a great meme." SO glad someone is doing it! Too cool!

Philadelphians panic too. :-) And also, it is SO disturbing when I lose power and can't get on the computer. Really, it makes me nuts. I'm sure I have a disease. :-)

Weather is funny. Different parts of the country react in crazy insane ways to what seems normal somewhere else.

Here in east TN, it's the same way. A light dusting...looks like locusts have been through the canned goods, bottled water and bread aisle at the Walmart.

As to an addiction. My husband and my kids got my my own laptop for Mother's day a few years ago. Ironically, I am a worse mother because of their thoughtfulness. Just last night my husband tweeted me, "I go to bed without you every night because you can not turn off your computer. I have created a monster."

Yep, I may need an intervention. Perhaps we can go through the 12 steps together? =)
