The Magic Awaits!

Day One - Arrival/Magical Express/Check-in/Magic Kingdom

We woke up at 4am on Thursday morning and got ready. My brother and his family arrived around 4:45 to load the car and we were off to the airport by 5:15am. It was definitely early, but the adrenaline was pumping with all the excitement!

Our flights were on time and uneventful and as we landed we called Matt's parents, who had already landed and were waiting for us in the airport. We quickly made our way to Disney's Magical Express and after about 20 minutes and no waiting for baggage, we were off to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. We arrived at the hotel and checked in. Shortly thereafter, my parents and our friends arrived as well.
We had a quick lunch at Pepper Market, the quick service restaurant in our hotel.
We then hopped on the bus for the park where dreams are made...Magic Kingdom!
The kids were so excited. We stopped for some pics in front of the park entrance and then made our way in.
As we walked in, the afternoon parade was going on right before our eyes.
After a quick meltdown from Max, we got on the WDW Railroad and made our way to Frontierland.
The lines were really bad, so we decided on the 110 minute wait on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad over the 120 minute way on Splash Mountain. Max LOVED it and wanted to go again. We promised him we would the next day we came here but we were not waiting for 55 minutes again (yep, the wait wasn't as bad as the sign noted).

The rest of the gang was in Fantasyland as the little ones couldn't ride the roller coaster. They rode It's A Small World instead. After that, we waited an unbelievably long time for Peter Pan's Flight (70 minutes), but it was worth it. Both kids loved it. Cate just watched in awe.
After that, we headed over to Pinocchio's Village Haus for dinner. The whole family was pleasantly surprised at how good the quality of the food was.
While waiting for the grown ups to finish eating, Cate decided to plop down on the floor to color!
Lastly we did Cinderella's Golden Carousel and walked under the Castle to head home. It had been a long day.
Just before leaving, my kids and niece got their Mickey Ears!
We got back to our hotel and got up to our rooms. They were very nice and the kids enjoyed exploring the room.
