While the kids sleep...

the adults play!

After our day in Disney's Animal Kingdom, we left the kids with the grandparents and went to Disney's Hollywood Studios for the dinner and some rides that our kids weren't able to ride.

First, we had dinner at 50s Prime Time Cafe. For those of you who don't know what this is, it is a restaurant that is themed to kitchens and homes from the 1950s. The decorating of this place is phenomenal. There are so many things around it that remind me of my grandparents' homes and kitchens. When they call you for your table, they say "The Lemme kids, Mom is waiting for you, dinner is ready!" So fun.

As we sat down, our server aka "cousin Melissa" came over to get our drink order. From the get-go, she began to tease Matt and told us the "house rules":

no fighting
no elbows on the table
eat all your vegetables because there are starving children in China.

Since Matt did not ask for his meal with a "please", she made him set the table!

The food was really good comfort foods such as meatloaf, tuna casserole, and pot roast. We had some good fun reminiscing about our childhoods and laughed a lot.

For dessert, I had my favorite...Peanut butter and jelly milkshake! Yummmmmm.

Afterwards, we headed towards the The Twilight Zone's Tower of Terror. Matt, David, Kim, and I went on it. Darcy and John did not. The wait was under 30 minutes and it was so much fun! I love getting off of it with legs like jelly!

Then, of course, we had to hit Rock n Roller Coaster right next door. However, the wait had become about 90 minutes, but it was now or not at all since we wouldn't be coming back to this park with the kids. Matt decided to join Darcy and John and walk around while David, Kim and I rode it. We talked the whole time in line about how kids say the darndest things like my post office story with Max!

David and Kim had never ridden it before and after getting off, both said that was the "best roller coaster" either one of them had ever ridden.

Unfortunately, since those two rides had long lines, by the time we got done with both of them, it was closing time, so we headed back to the hotel. After days filled with pushing around strollers, cutting up food, stopping frequently for the bathroom, and listening to the occasional meltdown while waiting in line, it was nice to have some relaxing fun time with just adults!
