Pomp and Circumstance

As many of you know from my recent Twitter or facebook comments last Friday that Max was "promoted" from 4K, or in other words, he graduated from preschool!

We had a little get together of some friends and family the night before for pizza and cake to celebrate this big accomplishment of his.

The next day was his ceremony. The kids were adorable as they marched in so proudly to "Pomp and Circumstance".

It was so funny to see all the parents and grandparents trying to get the best shot of their kid. Matt said it reminded him of the White House Press Corps.

The theme of the promotion (graduation) was Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Each class was wearing a different color t-shirt. They sang some songs and said some poems. Then, each student received his/her diploma.

After the ceremony, we were asked to come back to the classrooms for cake and pictures with family before dismissal. They decorated a cake for each class with the class picture. I got some great shots of him with his buddies as well as with his grandparents and us! We are SO proud of our little guy!

After dismissal, we took him to his favorite restaurant, the Purple Cow Diner! His best bud, Matthew, and his family also went there, so the boys had a grand ole time eating together! Once we were home, I went through his portfolio. It had all his work that took place over the year. It was amazing to see how his cutting skills, handwriting, coloring had improved over the course of 9 months. I can't express enough how proud I am of his little mind and heart!

Great Job, Max!!!! We love you so much! Good Luck in Kindergarten next year!
