What I Learned This Week
1. That aluminum foil and plastic wrap all have tabs on the ends that you push in so the roll won't come out while you are pulling your desired amount....Go on, check in your pantry...you'll see what I mean! How did I not know that?
2. Safety's count in professional football, not just college! I have always thought this was only in college football. Go figure!
3. Kids 5 and under should probably not use plastic chopsticks, even though they are made for children...Cate broke 2 pairs and Max broke 1pair while eating out this weekend! Oops, sorry, PF Changs!
4. I should probably stopped burping in front of the children...are you shocked?! Yes, I am well-known for my burps and my kids are beginning to follow suit. I guess I need to be more careful, so they don't think this is proper etiquette!
5. I am not as ready for Max to go to Kindergarten as I thought I was. After going to the Kindergarten info session/tour, I can't believe that my little boy will be doing all of that next year! As excited as I am to have a few days to myself (Cate will be going to a 2 year old program 2 days a week), I am going to miss him like crazy! I know, it is only 7:45am-3pm, but the house will be so quiet! {Sniff, sniff} I am sure I'll get used to it and find things to fill my time.
Well, that is my newfound knowledge or revelations this week. To see more "What I Learned This Week", click the button at the top of the post. Thanks, Jo-Lynne for hosting!

Yum for PF Changs. Have you tried PeiWei too?
LOL about the burping. I'm always curious what my kids do at friends' homes and saying "it's ok my mommy does this." Oy!
It is hard when your oldest goes off to kindergarten but you'll soon discover how much you can get done. You'll just cherish the time you have with him even more. That's awesome you have a full day; we're only half day.
It was hard when my oldest went off to Kindergarten even though I had my youngest here to keep me company. I think it was new and unknown to me. Now I can't wait for my youngest to start K in the fall--movies, holiday parties, pj parties, water day, etc...they do a great job to make K fun!
My oldest is in first grade and man, what a difference. Homework every night!
I'm shocked Allison. I never would have pegged you as a burper. Now *there's* a little tidbit for my post during next week's Things I Learned carnival. :)
I did not know #1 either! Thanks! And my kids have perfected burping AND farting on command. It's lovely. @@ They did NOT, however, learn it from me. Ahem.
I love the puppy love! My kindergartener has a girlfriend, which means "you play together a little more and sit next to each other at lunchtime."
The burping bit had me laughing, what we do in our own homes hey LOL
PF Changs is my most favorite in the world place to go!
I still miss my kids every day and they are in grades 12,4,&2!
why are so many KG classes all day these days? It used to be like 8 to noon. BUMMER>
Chopsticks: NO. Wikki Stix: YES!
I did not know about the tab thingy on the rolls of stuff - how useful.
Kindergarten is scary, but it's cake compared to junior high. Be glad he's not there yet. (I say this being the mother of only one boy and he's 3. Don't listen to me - I don't have any idea what I'm talking about).
Funny. That is the second time this week, I learned about tip "guides" on the aluminum foil rolls. And, as far as the kindergarten thing, I can tell you that before deployment, Stevie's first day of school was the hardest day of my life. Seriously. Day 2 was fine. But day 1... ah... not so much. I'll start praying now.
