Christmas Home Tour

BooMamaChristmasTour

Happy Holidays Everyone! Welcome to our home! I hope the Spirit of Christmas fills your heart this season. I know that many of these decorations hold a dear place in my heart and fill our home with the warmth of the season. Enjoy!

Our Home all lit up! The moment we bought this house, I already had a plan of how I was going to decorate it! This was exactly the vision I had in mind!

We have our lights put up professionally, but the tree above the door is on a platform in our house and Matt gets up there to put that up. I think it adds a nice interior touch.

Moby Dick, our Elf on a Shelf in one of Max's favorite places so far. Our dog, Gretel is a Boston Terrier, so this figurine has special meaning. The box in the front is Max's "Christmas Blessings Box that he made at an art camp at school.

This is our dining room table centerpiece. I fell in love with it the year we bought our first house. It is so whimsical and fun and like nothing I had seen before.

These are probably my favorite decorations by far! These are needlepointed stockings that my mother made. She has put hours and hours along with her heart and soul into these beautiful works of art! I am so proud of them. I also needlepoint and I have made my brother-in-law's and nephew's stockings!

My grandmother made this wall hanging spelling NOEL. The golden pieces are made from tin cans that have been cut and curled using special tools. She made hundreds of these years ago and would sell them at craft shows. My grandfather also made me a doll house when I was younger and ALL the furniture in it was made from tin cans by my grandmother!

Here is a close-up of the detail work!

I especially love this simple wood carving as it expresses the theme of the holidays. I believe in the spirit of Santa and also the spirit of our Lord as he fills us with hope in our lives.

And lastly, my nativity scene. My parents collect Lladro and I love the look of it. I found this set in a local Hallmark store in NJ and it looks like it without the pricetag! I think it has a serene, soft beauty to it!

Well, I hope you have enjoyed some of my favorite things! For more home tours, click on the BooMama or Kimba's Open House buttons at the top of the link ! Peace to all of you during this special time of the year!

And be sure to stop by tomorrow to see my Christmas Card. I am participating in a Christmas Card Carousel hosted by Faith@Walk With Me by Faith.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I also had Bedknobs and Broomsticks on my list but I was just trying to write 10.
Thanks for the comment about my profile pic-the last pic I had on there I was 9months pregnant. It really showed in my face-not sure why I used that 30lb weight gain photo. Thanks for making me feel good -I needed that!

I had to comment on the "Noel" hanging from Aunt Topsy!! I have a hanging she made me with my name on it, but not sure where it's at - will have to ask mom!! Thanks for reminding me what a special lady she was - she'd be so proud of you!
