So, after weeks of trying to tame Cate's hair (remember the bad hair day), I finally decided it was time to go for her first haircut. So, we went to Snip-Its on Saturday morning! First, Max got his cut so she could watch him go through the process. She sat and watched so calmly. There was a boy in the next chair having a bit of a meltdown, so we were trying to distract her as much as possible. (I have also been spritzing her each night with detangler to get her used to the spray and also the combing of the knots to get her ready for this!) I was SO proud of her, too. She was so calm, you wouldn't have even thought she was getting her hair cut. She didn't even fidget or wince when she sprayed her hair down. As usual, a perfect angel. She got a certificate, a locket of hair, and her picture taken by the staff! It was almost painful for me to watch them cut her beautiful locks, but as you can see...she is just as cute after her little cut.

Very cute - photos that you'll want to keep. Take care of that hair - don't want to end up like me.
There's a snipits by my house and whenever I see it I think 'that is such a cute name for a kiddie hair salon.' And your cute kiddie looks good with the new 'do!!!
That is super sweet! And she looks beutiful! Hailey and I are getting ours cut today...She LOVES getting her hair done and all but passes out at the shampoo sink...she is a diva in the making for sure. Your little one looked right at home too..
That smile makes me happy!!
What a cutie patootie!! Enjoy those little moments - she'll be in college in about . . . two weeks . . . mine sure seemed like it!!
Have a good one ~
What a cutie! We have fond memories of 1st haircuts but the haircuts that followed - oy! My oldest hated them for about a year. My husband even took to cutting his hair for a while b/c it was so painful. And boys go in every 6 weeks. It's a piece of cake now but I think my husband is scarred from that experience.
She looks so cute! These are really great photos.
What a big girl! I remember my oldest sons first several haircuts, what a nightmare!
Looks like a wondefully positive experience....and it looks great too!
That little face is too darn cute! I must admit that I'm a tad surprised that you didn't save that first cut for the Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street. That's where Jayce got his first cut. It was WAY overdue but we waited it out just so I could have that memory of his first trim at Mickey's House!
Great pictures. It was nice to go down memory lane with Max.
Cate looked fantastic and behaved admirably while experiencing her first haircut.
Those eyes! She is beautiful!
