The kids thoroughly enjoyed it. The mess was minimal all things considered. I was very impressed with Max's interpretation of his pepperoni pizza. It was very well done. He added a few things at the end that were a little odd, but it was still his piece of art to do whatever he wanted with. Cate just painted hers green...a little gloppy, but it should go well with her new room.
After the pottery painting, we were hungry. There is a seafood joint just around the corner. We thought it would be good and they have raw peanuts and you can throw the hulls on the floor. The kiddos LOVED that. We had to watch Cate carefully, though, as a couple of times, she tried to put the whole peanut, hull and all in her mouth! The fish was delicious and we enjoyed laughing and talking with them.
Yet another great family fun day that I hope our kids will remember each time they look at their masterpieces!

That looks like so much fun! Anything with paint is a sure hit.
Looks like a blast. I'm glad you let the kids do their thing. I think the girls will always want to pick out the biggest piece. I also had to direct my daughter on picking out her piece...she wanted to paint a 10" tall chihuahua. Can't wait to see what you painted.
I love painting pottery! Looks like y'all had fun.
